Location: Villa Serego Alighieri, a private agricultural estate dating to the mid 14th Century, is set on the plain above the ancient city of Verona (20 minutes) and just a few kilometers below the Italian Alps. Lake Garda (the largest of the Italian Alpine Lakes) is just a few minutes to the west. This region is known as the Valpolicella and is famous for its rich red wines; the most coveted being the intense Amorone. The Villa Serego Alighieri produces some of the best Valpolicella and Amorone wines in the region in addition to olive oils, honey and preserves from their extensive vineyards and orchards.

Accommodations: The Villa has seven apartments that we will choose from. Each apartment features spacious living areas, private baths and bedrooms for two, three or four persons. Guests will enjoy walking the grounds and orchards, taking a morning cappuccino on the manicured terrace or wandering into the residential villages just outside the Villa gates. This is among the very best of the rural villas in Italy and is consistently awarded accolades by travel experts.
Program: Featuring the culinary instruction of Rinaldo Biraldi, a delightful teaching professional with a flare for the local cuisine and kitchen innovation. Mr. Biraldi will conduct four "hands-on" cooking lessons for our group, each culminating in either a lunch or dinner experience that everyone will savor. When meals are not prepared at the Villa, we will visit a variety of local eateries selected for their quality, charm and uniqueness to give exposure to the cuisine of the "Veneto".
Tours Include: City of Verona for its 1st Century Arena (Coliseum), Homes of Romeo & Juliet and Shopping. Village of Valeggio, the home of Tortellini and one of the most beautiful gardens in Italy. Lake Villages of Sirmione and Lazise. Hill towns of Soave and San Giorgio for magnificent Castles and Churches and a local market. Producers of Wine, Olive Oil, Salami and Cheese.
