A Taste of Provence

(The itinerary listed below includes the typical activities planned for this tour.  The actual day and time of the activities may vary depending on the day of the week they are scheduled, chefs’ and tour guides’ schedules, etc.)

  

Day One:

Arrival and welcome

 

Afternoon check in at Les Trois Fontaines

 

Wine tasting, dinner

Day Two:

 

Guided tour of Avignon and Palace of the Popes

Lunch and shopping on your own

Return to estate for afternoon cooking lesson

Sip patisse and play petanque on the lawn

Dinner as prepared in the lesson

Day Three:

Visit village of Coustellet and local farmers market

On to village of Isle-sur-la-Sorge and its famous antique market

Return; prepare dinner with the fresh, seasonal ingredients found at the market earlier

Day Four:

Visit the famous Chateuneuf-du-Pape castle and winery

Lunch on the castle terrace

On to the village of Chateau-de-Nerthe for wine tasting

Back to Les Trois Fontaines for cooking lesson; dinner as prepared in class

Day Five:

Visit Cavillon for a special cooking lesson in the kitchen of Jon Jacque Prevot and his destination restaurant there

Lunch as prepared in lesson

Afternoon at leisure

Dinner on your own

Day Six:

 

Visit St.-Remy-de-Provence

Chocolate, olive oil demonstrations, tastings

Lunch at the famous Bistro du Paradou

Afternoon tour of stone city Les Beaux

 

Return to Les Trois Fontaines for dinner

Day Seven:

Visit Gordes and Rousillon

Picnic lunch (weather permitting)

Local goat cheese producer, tasting

Return to Les Trois Fontaines for final cooking lesson and farewell dinner

 

Day Eight:

Breakfast

Check out and departure
