A Taste of Tuscany Itinerary

Day 1

Depart U.S. for Italy

Day 2

Afternoon arrival at the magnificent Borgo Bernardini, just outside of historic Lucca.

 

Welcome reception, dinner

Day 3

Cooking lesson in the villa’s kitchen with Chef Gianluca Pardini, lunch as prepared in class

 

Guided tour of Lucca

 

Proseco wine tasting, dinner at estate

Day 4

Visit ancient fishing village of Portovenere, on the beautiful Italian Riviera

 

Cooking lesson with Chef Paolo Monti, lunch as prepared in class

 

Return to estate, dinner

 Day 5

Day trip to San Gimignano, Siena or Florence

 

Cooking with Gianluca Pardini at the villa

 

Chianti wine tasting, dinner as prepared in class

 Day 6

Tour local farm, famous for pecorino cheese

 

Picnic lunch

 

Cooking lesson at Chianti’s top restaurant, Osteria di Passignano, with Chef Matia Barciulli

 

Visit Antinori wine cellars

 

Dinner at Osteria di Passignano

 Day 7

Guided tour of Pisa, including the duomo and the famous leaning tower

 

Lunch and free time in the hill town of Volterra

 

Dinner on your own in Lucca or at the estate

 Day 8

Tasting balsamic vinegars of Modena

 

Final cooking lesson with Gianluca Pardini, lunch as prepared in class

 

Shopping in Lucca
