After a break for lunch, we continue to Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal, where history comes alive along its cobbled streets. Along the way, your guide will share tales of student traditions, including the famous fado de Coimbra—a soulful music style performed by university students in traditional black capes. Day 7: Monday May 4

Explore Quinta da Regaleira, a captivating estate in Sintra Portugal, renowned for its enchanting gardens, intricate architecture, and enigmatic symbolism. Afterwards, take a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast on our way to Cascais
This afternoon we will check into Hotel Albatroz in Cascais, perched gracefully above the shimmering Atlantic. This morning after breakfast either depart for the airport in Lisbon or continue our tour to the Algarve and Lagos Avenida Hotel, offering an outdoor pool and views of the marina and the sea.Step into the heart of the Algarve with a guided walking tour through the enchanting town of Lagos, where cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, and centuries of history meet the sparkling Atlantic. Our tour begins in the historic center, where you’ll wander past lively squares, traditional tiled façades, and charming cafés. Along the way, your guide will share stories of Lagos’ golden age of discovery, when it was a bustling port during the Age of Exploration. (B,D).
Day 11: Friday May 8
Free morning in Lagos to explore its beautiful beaches, sea caves, sparkling sea. This afternoon, experience the magic of the Algarve bathed in golden light on this unforgettable Sunset Jeep Safari. Departing from Albufeira in the late afternoon, you’ll venture off-road into the region’s scenic interior with expert guides who will share captivating stories about the Algarve’s history, culture, and natural beauty.
As you travel through peaceful rural paths, past fruit plantations and traditional villages, you'll have the chance to taste the region's authentic flavors, including local honey and the bold "firewater"(aguardente de medronho).
The highlight of the evening awaits at the top of a mountain, where you’ll witness a breathtaking sunset casting vibrant colors over the landscape. This moment is made even more special with a glass of sparkling wine for a perfect toast to nature’s beauty.
Day 12: Saturday May 9
Free day in Lagos! Enjoy the beach, rent a boat, kayak, visit a winery, etc... Final group dinner this evening on our last night together in Portugal!
Day 13: Sunday May 10
The Algarve portion of our tour ends after breakfast. Private transfer to Faro for flights and trains back to Lisbon.
